The Queen Mary University of London UK – Background

The Queen Mary University of London is a public research institution affiliated with the University of London. Named after Mary of Teck, the Queen consort of the United Kingdom until 1936. The university was first established as Westfield College but later become university after merger with various medical schools. Today this university houses approximately 15,000 students annually and is part of the Russell Group, as well as other prestigious university groups.

PhD Scholarships and Bursaries for 2017-18

In the session of 2017-18, Queen Mary University is offering 60 PhD scholarships to the most qualified students based on personal merit and academic achievement. These highly competitive scholarships and funding opportunities are intended to last three years and include an annual, tax free stipend for cost of living expenses. Applicants wishing to be considered for the scholarships must submit a full academic CV and a completed research proposal. Apart from a CV and a research proposal, you are also required to submit copies of the related academic transcripts. International students are also allowed to apply for most of these funding positions. However it is important to note that international PhD candidates will not able to reimburse some costs related to travel or health insurance.
